Animal Agriculture is an Ecological Disaster
Animal agriculture is a major contributor to environmental degradation, responsible for 58% of food-related emissions while providing only 38% of the world’s protein and 17% of its calories. Beyond methane, the industry’s impact includes deforestation, habitat loss, water pollution, and excessive resource use. With nearly half of the planet’s habitable land used for agriculture, most of it dedicated to livestock, the inefficiency and ecological cost of meat production are becoming increasingly clear. Regenerative agriculture offers a promising alternative, emphasizing sustainable farming practices to restore ecosystems and reduce carbon footprints.
